You will pick up the medication and all necessary supplies from our office each month. Each patient is started on the lowest dose of the medication, which is gradually increased over 4-6 months. Those who can utilize Semaglutide as a tool to implement long-term lifestyle changes in diet and exercise can generally come off the medication once they’ve reached and maintained their goal weight. Many patients report that the medication improves their relationship with food. They become accustomed to eating smaller portions, snacking less, and not eating when they’re bored. As long as patients can maintain these good habits long-term, they can successfully discontinue the medication without gaining weight back.

We do not accept insurance for our Weight Loss program. Some patients can obtain prescriptions for Semaglutide from their primary care physician, but insurance coverage and medication availability vary tremendously. Most primary care physicians do not provide Semaglutide prescriptions as part of a comprehensive and holistic Weight Loss program aimed at long-term weight maintenance.
